Single Page Deploys
The site generator can build page groups independently. This is useful when you only want to update single pages — such as the home page, chat page, or auth/account pages — without running a full build-pages cycle.
What counts as a single page
In the CLI, the build-page command produces specific page groups into site/public/:
| Command | Output |
|---|---|
go run . build-page home | Home page (/) |
go run . build-page chat | Chat page (/chat/) |
go run . build-page single | All single pages, including login, register, account, and listing management pages |
go run . build-page scope:nome | One scope index page |
go run . build-page topic:nome | One topic index page |
See Build Commands for the full list.
Deploy a single page update
The fastest way to push only single pages is the dedicated wrapper script:
cd site./deploy-single.shThat builds the single group and runs Smart Deploy scoped to the known single-page paths. Because Smart Deploy tracks SHA256 hashes, unchanged files are skipped automatically and the upload usually completes in seconds.
You can pass Smart Deploy flags through:
./deploy-single.sh --dry-run./deploy-single.sh --force./deploy-single.sh --verboseIf you prefer to run the steps manually, use the --single flag on smart-deploy:
cd sitego run . build-page singlego run . smart-deploy --single--single restricts the deployment to the single-page group plus CSS/JS assets under static/css/ and static/js/, so city/scope/topic pages and remote image assets are never touched.
Deploy auth pages only
Auth and account pages are part of the single group, so the same command applies:
cd site./deploy-single.shFor more details on those pages, see Auth Pages.
When to regenerate the sitemap
Single pages rarely add or remove URLs. If you do introduce a new single page or change its path, regenerate the sitemap before deploying:
cd sitego run . build-page singlego run . generate-sitemapgo run . smart-deploy --singleFull deploy vs single deploy
| Scenario | Command |
|---|---|
| Update only single pages | ./deploy-single.sh |
| Update only single pages (manual) | go run . build-page single && go run . smart-deploy --single |
| Update the entire site | go run . build-pages && go run . smart-deploy |
| Production deployment with pull + build + deploy | ./deploy-production.sh |
